Newsletter:--Weekly meetings, times vary
ICCF youth create the Messenger, a community newsletter. The staff writes articles and uses photography to illustrate issues that impact the Islamic community. We are always looking for new talent to contribute to our team!
Ramadan Kit:
Youth designed a kit to teach about the holy month of Ramadan at public schools in a fun and interactive way. The Ramadan kit team has visited different schools in Clovis and Fresno and given presentations to elementary and junior high classes. To find out how to be involved in this program or if you are a teacher interested in learning about this program contact Sarah @ 297 9535.
Sunday School:
Each Sunday we have classes for children ages 6-13 years of age on Islamic studies and a language of their choice-Farsi or Arabic. Twenty four students enrolled this past semester. Classes are from 11:00-1:30 every Sunday starting January 30th. In addition to academics, Sunday School kids take trips and participate in fun activities.
Liar, Trickster, Hero: Tales of Nasreddin:
Children ages 7-13 years of age will be performing this play that depicts the life of a folkloric character by the name of Nasreddin. The performance is scheduled for April 29th at 6pm. Comical and light hearted, Nasreddin's stories combine culture and wisdom in a manner enjoyable to all audiences.
